Eight small faults and solutions of air compressors that make customers angry

In daily maintenance, the most common tasks are often basic maintenance. Sometimes, they even travel thousands of miles to the customer's location just to easily replace a component, which not only wastes money but also delays work for the customer. Based on the descriptions of multiple air compressor engineers, the editor summarizes the eight common types of faults and basic maintenance plans in daily life as follows:

Firstly, check for the presence of control voltage. If not, check if the fuse and other components are intact; If there is a control voltage, check whether the control relay and time relay are operating normally.

After a few seconds of startup, the automatic shutdown will be manually controlled by electrical personnel, such as whether the automatic air switch is activated, whether the voltage is normal, whether the degree of closure of the intake butterfly valve is normal (the compressor cannot be started with load), and whether the contactor and motor three-phase are normal during Y-△ startup.

Check if the control oil cylinder is in motion. If it is, check if the butterfly valve has mechanical faults; If there is no fault, check if there is suction force in the loaded electromagnetic coil; After troubleshooting the mechanical and coil faults of the solenoid valve, investigate the sub circuits where the solenoid valve is located one by one.

Firstly, check whether there is any air leakage in the pressure before and after separation, manual valves, and regulating solenoid valves; Then check for any leaks in the gas pipeline, whether all butterfly valves are open, whether the intake regulator is working properly, whether the solenoid valve is leaking, and whether the pressure switch needs to be readjusted.

First, check if the oil shut-off valve piston and valve core are stuck, and if the mechanical parts are normal; If it is normal, check the one-way valve and reassemble or replace it.

The exhaust temperature is generally between 80-95 ℃. If there is not enough lubricating oil cooling, it will cause high temperature and lead to malfunction. Firstly, check whether the ambient temperature, compressor lubricating oil, oil level, oil quality, and cold fan are normal; Then check whether the oil cooler and aftercooler are clean, whether the temperature control valve components, oil cut-off solenoid valve voltage, and valve body are normal. If there is any damage to the diaphragm or the temperature control valve core does not move, it needs to be replaced; Check if the oil filter is dirty or needs to be replaced.

Check whether the oil content in the condensate discharged from the drain valve is too high, whether the oil level of the compressor is too high, whether the opening pressure of the pressure valve is normal, whether the return pipe is blocked, and whether the oil separation core is blocked. The above issues will affect fuel consumption and should be dealt with in a timely manner.

Firstly, check if the machine automatically shuts down normally; Then check if the automatic switch and thermal relay are activated, if it causes the cooling fan motor to stop, if the exhaust temperature is too high, or if the pressure is too high, and if the motor voltage is normal.
